Job Description

We are a fast-expanding, multi-billion Naira restaurant, nightclub and hotel, currently with presence in 12 locations. We are searching for a highflying strategic marketing professional to augment our aggressive growth plan.
 
Reporting to the managing director, the head of marketing and strategy will be responsible for the following:
 
Develop, update and champion ongoing execution of winning marketing and overall business strategies, which covers our nightclub business as well as other arms of the business.
Champion product development and general innovation/ research and development  for our business
Lead ongoing market research, for the business with the objective of connecting with target customers at competitors locations to determining their needs/ preferences and their assessment of  our strengths and weaknesses compared with competitors
Also lead/ coordinate direct marketing team that will handle direct marketing, contact gathering etc for key VIP potential customers at competitors’ venue
Work with our Project department to improve the look and feel of our venues to achieve respectable brand look always
Lead general marketing communication for our product, venue, events, and overall brand. Particularly:
Create awareness about new restaurant and club products
Create awareness about new restaurant, club and hotel locations
Conceive and execute events e.g. nightclub events
Identify possible key influencers for our business (e.g. musicians, actors/ actresses, OAP, media houses, key officers at large corporates who have strong influence on the earlier mentioned influencers, etc) and explore how we can partner with them
 
The ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand the peculiarities of our businesses, to be able to proffer winning, effective, cost-efficient business and marketing strategies. He should have:
 
A university degree
Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience. Preferably with a minimum of seven years rounded marketing and strategy experience in a leading marketing agency, and a minimum of three years heading the marketing function a hospitality, FMCG or related companyHead of Marketing and Strategy
